There are a lot of moving pieces in the telecommunications industry for CPaaS providers. Your users expect a flawless service, crystal clear call quality, and reliable data networks. Anything but perfect isn’t good enough in this competitive industry.

And then there is the issue of unified communication services. You have to somehow tie all your features together into a seamless experience. That alone is no easy task.

Maybe this seems familiar to you?

Dear Acrobits,

My name is Anthony, and I’m the COO at ________. We are a VoIP carrier in the US with our own retail ILD service. I’m writing to request more info regarding your white label products. We currently have our own platform for our pinless ILD service sold in the US. We also have an OTT app similar to what you provide. We purchased this app from another company, but have been largely disappointed with their platform, support, etc. Now, we are looking to move in a different direction. We have developed our own transactional apps for end users and resellers in-house, and would like to explore the possibility/feasibility of adding an Acrobits SDK into one of our own apps.

No one wants to be in Anthony’s position, but it happens more often than you know. Sometimes millions of dollars spent on development are wasted because the final product doesn’t work properly.

Remember, you can’t afford to offer a subpar service

Acrobits fixes this CPaaS problem for you through our reliable Cloud Softphone platform. We were lucky enough to get started at the beginning of the 5th technological wave. That’s the same technological wave that brought us the first iPhone. We took advantage of all the buzz that it created and based our business on the application model. That placed us in a strategic position as telecom companies around the world called on us for their RFPs.

We completed our very first white-label mobile application in 2009 for a Swiss company that went on to become the market leader in the country.

Traditional White Label Doesn’t Go Far Enough

It’s time we address traditional white labeling, and why it doesn’t go far enough. White labeling is slapping your brand on something. That product may work, but it doesn’t go far enough.

Your company is unique. You’ve worked hard to develop your own infrastructure. All of this work has helped foster your corporate identity. The products you offer are diverse. But tying all of these services together is extremely challenging. That uniqueness is what drives your business, but it’s also what’s hurting it. Traditional white labeling isn’t unique enough – and we learned that early on.

Our early clients wanted more. They wanted to create a unique platform for their business. We worked hard to offer that, but it came at a price.

By 2013, that translated into more than 50 different products. There was no way to support that in such a competitive environment, across different operating systems, versions, and on all devices.

In 2018 alone, this is what you have to support:

  • • 8 mandatory iOS versions to support
  • • 9 recommended iOS versions to support
  • • 24,000 Android devices to support
  • • 1,600+ Android manufacturers
  • • 17 versions of Android

By that point, we had to choose whether to increase our prices or reinvent how telecom carriers approach white label softphone solutions.

That scenario was just going to create another Anthony-type situation.

aPaas Solves the Biggest CPaaS Problems

In 2013, we started focusing on the application platform as a service (aPaaS) model. We knew telecom carriers were struggling to code their own platforms that could cope with demand, scale for the future, and provide a high-quality experience. Coding an RTC carrier-grade app costs more than $150,000 to develop, and even more to maintain.

Very few smaller carriers can afford to staff an in-house development team, designers, and all the costs associated with building your own platform.

So, here’s what we did in 2013

We needed to come up with a cost-effective, simple to maintain, and deployable turnkey solution that could work with 99% of modern devices. But more importantly, it had to be flexible enough to deliver on that promise of uniqueness that every carrier wanted.

Sounds impossible, right? We figured it out

We created and launched our very first release of the multi-award winning Cloud Softphone portal. You see, rather than focusing on a simplified white label solution, we reinvented what it meant to white label something.

We designed a platform where you can create, test, deploy, and maintain your RTC apps without writing a single line of code, while still offering that level of uniqueness that you need.

How did we do this?

Simple. We created a platform that was so feature-rich and customizable that carriers could create their own custom solution within it. This meant providing carriers with the uniqueness they need without ever needing to hire a development staff. With Cloud Softphone, you can build your own platform, brand it your way, and leave all the expensive development costs to us.

We call it aPaaS ( application Platform as a Service), and we think it’s the perfect solution for CPaaS providers looking for a platform that can deliver on quality and branding.

Don’t Become an Anthony – Build Your Platform on Cloud Softphone

It’s hard to believe we turn ten this month. There’s never been a better time to deploy an RTC project.

If you’re planning on deploying an RTC project in the next few months, or are simply curious and want to put our technology to the test, you can reach a member of our sales team here.

So make sure you don’t let CPaas problems overwhelm your business. Make the switch to our APaaS today. Don’t become another Anthony, be Dave:

Switching to Cloud Softphone has allowed us to leverage Acrobits’ app development expertise, leaving us to concentrate on our users, our platform, and other business concerns. We get quick access to the latest mobile features and improvements without having to maintain our own app development team. Our customers are happier, so we’re happier.
